About us
Dr Jo Blackwell has spent the last 22+ years working in the public, voluntary, and higher education sectors. During that time Jo has built up expertise in programme and project management, strategy and planning, research, evaluation, community engagement, and knowledge exchange and transfer.
Jo has a particular flair for qualitative and lived experience research, particularly in the fields of health, social care, physical activity, and communities. However, she's not afraid of numbers when needed, and her skills are highly transferable to other fields.
Jo's industry expertise is backed by a BSc(Honours) in nutrition, health and lifestyles, a Masters in Public Health, a PhD in the sociology of health, illness, and physical activity, and a Prince2 project management qualification.
We carefully consider our approach to research and engagement, aiming for ethical and inclusive practice. We also take data security and protection seriously. As well as being registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, we also regularly review and update our approach to data protection.
